8 SepCommunity outreach.

We have a wonderful team of local volunteers who support us in ChangSha. We recently held another ‘balloon making’ class for these volunteers led by one of our talented volunteers, Maggie. These activities are a great way for everyone to get together whilst learning a new skill! These new skills are also crucial for the wider work that we are doing in the community.

Over the last few weeks, our volunteers and some of our Butterfly team have been busy putting their balloon making skills to good use. We have started a community outreach programme with the Hunan Provincial Hospital and last week the team visited the Paediatric Haematology ward. This programme is to spread the wonder of play to children who are critically ill and their families.

*Please note the children’s faces are covered to protect their privacy. We can assure you they have huge smiles on their faces when they receive the balloons*
