25 MayFelix’s angel wings.

Hearts are broken in our home this week due to the passing of a very special boy. Felix has gained his angel wings. He spent his last few days where he spent most of his time; in the arms of his loving ayi.

We always knew Felix would have a shortened life as he was extremely fragile and quite unwell recently, but our continued focus was on comfort and putting life into every day. We have had the privilege to watch Felix grow over the last few years, understanding his likes and dislikes and knowing how to put a smile on his face.

Despite knowing time with Felix would be limited, his death has come as a shock to our ayis and the Butterfly team. They still cannot believe he has gone and ache to hold him again.

We should have been preparing to celebrate his third birthday in a few weeks, instead the team are grieving the loss of a much loved boy.

Rest in peace Felix, fly free now.
