25 AprFinlay’s Fantastic Family Adventures

As part of our ’10 year celebrations’ we are looking back at some of our little miracles and catching up with where they are now. For those who have followed along for some time, you will remember Finlay.

Finlay is thriving with his forever family and each day holds new adventures for him. His mama reached out to us with this update about what they have been up to recently: “Finlay is doing wonderfully! He just turned 9 and is in 4th grade at our neighborhood elementary school, which we all love. He’s got a sweet group of close friends and outside of school is very active in a number of activities. His favorites these days are basketball, baseball and drumming, as well as petting our dog Waffles. We also take Mandarin classes as a family in Chinatown every Saturday, and are active in our Church where there happen to be a number of other adoptive families. Finlay is also close to his two cousins who live in Oregon who are both Chinese adoptees.

We had a wonderful trip last year to Ireland to attend Katie and Jamie’s wedding.

Katie cared for Finlay in the Butterfly Home and they always shared a close bond.

We also got to spend time with Lyn and Alan Gould, for the first time which was incredibly meaningful to all three of us.

We are grateful beyond words for everyone at BCH who took such incredible loving care of our sweet, loving, happy and very healthy boy! We are so glad we can continue to be part of the BCH family and that Finlay can continue to stay in touch with you all as he grows.”

Finlay, we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you.

The world really is your oyster now with your fantastic family.

Keep us updated with your next adventures.
