30 AprA HUGE heartfelt thank you

This month we said goodbye and a very big thank you to Sarah. Sarah has been part of our International team for the last five years, managing our instagram and twitter pages, creating incredible videos of our work and participating in other publicity/fundraising activities. She will be greatly missed and we are so thankful for the commitment she made for so long.

Here is what Sarah had to say about her time with Butterfly:
“When I first discovered the Butterfly Children’s Hospices I immediately identified with their message to provide love and dignity to every child, regardless of their condition. I began to run fundraisers for BCH and soon I was working with the Income Generation and Fundraising Committee as well as running the organization’s Instagram and Twitter pages. I will always remember how readily and warmly they welcomed me to their team. The past 5 years with this organization have been filled with passion, laughter, late nights, high hopes, and most notably – love and growth. It has been an honour to work with people who love these children, and this cause, so whole-heartedly. As a neonatal intensive care nurse, I know how healing love can be for these little ones. While I am sad to be stepping back from my work with BCH, I am excited to pursue new career opportunities that have presented themselves here in Canada. I look forward to witnessing the progress that is to come for BCH, and supporting these incredible people in any way possible.”

Message of thanks from Lyn Gould

Congratulations to Sarah on her new and exciting job – it sounds as if her work environment will be truly beautiful and very different! Whilst we are excited for Sarah we will truly feel her loss as she has been such a big part of our small band of volunteers that make up our social media team.

I want to say a huge thank you to Sarah for her commitment of time and energy to help the children through using her media know how. Volunteers like Sarah, with both talent and stickability, are rare and we have been really fortunate to have had her help for so long.

May I take the opportunity to say a huge personal thank you as well as express the gratitude of the Board of Trustees. We wish you well and hope your new job will be a blessing for you as well as your team and those you care for. You will always be a special part of the Butterfly story.

Sarah, we wish you the best of luck from everyone at Butterfly. You will be greatly missed!
