19 JulJohn’s journey

John will be eleven in November and he has been in our home for nearly seven years. It is hard to believe we have had the privilege of watching John grow over the last seven years.

But now, he really needs a forever family of his own. He needs the love and attention he would get with his own family, compared to the chaos that occurs in our home some days. John is a social little boy who loves spending time with other children.

He has a diagnosis of autism but that does not define him. He does things in his own time and in his own unique ways. He is learning new words every day, can feed and dress himself. He is an active boy who loves to be outdoors, running around and exploring new places.

John needed us when he first arrived, he needed the specialised care to grow but now his only need is a family of his own. People overlook his file because of his age or diagnosis, but what you cannot see when you read his file is his kind, caring nature and loving personality.

Contact superkids@gladney.org directly for more information if you think John could be your son.
