29 AprLatest news from our home (Part 1).

The last few weeks in our home have been busy, with lots happening with the children. This three-part blog series will share some of those highlights with you.

Recent activity:

Melvin graduated from our care. A few months ago he was admitted for hospice care and we were unsure how his story would unfold. He went from strength to strength and quickly began to thrive. He has not moved very far (only to the next building) so we can still keep a close eye on him and John still meets him to play together in the playground. We are so proud of all that Melvin has achieved so far and we cannot wait to see what his future holds.

Snowy had surgery earlier this month and her recovery was better than we could have hoped for. Despite all that this girl has been through in her short life, she continues to face each day with bravery, courage and a beautiful smile. She is home now, enjoying being spoilt by her loving ayis. She has recently had a growth spurt and we are looking to buy her some new clothes. If you would like to buy something for her, please click here.

Adoption updates:

Some of you may recognise this little beauty, Daphne. She was doing so well last year that she graduated from our care and continues to thrive. She has grown up a lot since these photos were taken but still has those chubby cheeks and beautiful smile. Daphne’s adoption file is ready and we believe she is with an agency, in the process of being matched with her forever family. We are delighted for Daphne and cannot wait to see what her future holds.

Ronan, our youngest Butterfly also has his adoption file ready. we are hoping that he will celebrate his second birthday in September with his forever family by his side. His file is with Gladney. Contact superkids@gladney.org for more information.

Exciting opportunity:

We are continuing to look for a dynamic and creative leader to lead our organisation into the next phase. To find out more about this exciting role, click here.

What a month it has been – stay tuned for part two of this update coming soon.

So good to receive news of Melville & Snowy (doesn’t she look different now!! Beautiful smile!) I have been praying for them.
Is there any update on John re adoption?

Unfortunately John still waits for his forever family. We are encouraging anyone to contact esther@internationaladoptionnet.org directly for more information if they think John could be their son. We are hopeful with continued advocacy that one day John’s family will find him.
