We run this feature as we feel it is a great way for our supporters to get to know our team better. We have an incredible international team who work alongside our team in China.
Today, we would like to introduce you to Naomi who works in the UK office.
Here is a little about what she has to say about being part of our team:
I jumped at the chance of working for Butterfly Children’s Hospices when I spotted a vacancy back in the summer of 2017! I have worked in the charity sector for the past 14 years and I love the variety of work, the job satisfaction (and yes, the challenges!) of working for small charities. For me it is a simple choice of working for an organisation whose values I share and who makes a real difference to people’s lives. I found, and still find, everything that Lyn and the Butterfly team has achieved in such a short space of time both amazing and inspirational. I am constantly humbled by the stories of the children and babies that we love, care for and cherish in our Butterfly Home and I am so excited for the future of this very small charity with very big aspirations!
My role at Butterfly is as a part-time Administrator in the UK, working alongside Helen the Business Manager. There is no typical working day and I am never bored! I support the CEO, Business Manager and Trustees with whatever needs doing – from thanking donors to minuting meetings, creating policies to sending e-newsletters. It is so rewarding to know that you are part of a larger team, all working towards helping to change children’s lives. That’s not only a job, but a privilege.
