16 OctNews update

Life has been quite busy around the home recently, with lots of activities happening.

Our staff had their hats on, raising awareness for children’s palliative care #hatson4CPC and we are holding more events in ChangSha later this month. Here are Emily & Lyn showing their support with their hats on!

We have some new faces around our home, which we will introduce over the next few weeks. Jill is one of our newest arrivals. She is 5 years old but extremely tiny and malnourished. Please keep her in your thoughts as she settles in and we cannot wait to share more as we get to know her.

John continues to fill our days with enjoyment and laughter, but still waits for his forever family. He is an energetic boy, who loves life. Contact superkids@gladney.org directly for more information or to review his file. You can read more about him here .

We also celebrated this month as Linton graduated from our care. He no longer needs ‘palliative care’ and has moved to the rehabilitation centre within the orphanage. We will still see Linton and monitor his progress, but we know this little guy is going to do well, surrounded by children with similar abilities. He is such a happy little boy, very different to the scary, fragile boy we first knew.

We are very grateful to those who have already signed up to send Christmas gifts to our Butterflies and staff. If you would like to get involved you can purchase something from our amazon wishlist here which will be brought directly to the home next month or contact katie@butterflyhospice.org for more information.

Stay tuned for another update coming soon…
