19 AprOur New CEO

We have some exciting news to share. It is time for a new chapter of our story to be written.  After 10 long years as CEO, Lyn Gould decided it is time to ensure the sustainability of our work and appoint a new leader to carry us into the next phase of developing palliative care services for children and their families in China.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new CEO – Mr Zetao Zhang. Lyn is looking forward to her new role as Chair of BCH – working closely with the trustees and team to support them and the new CEO in the transition and beyond.

Zetao is from mainland China with an IT and business background. However, in 2017 he co-founded HPCAF (Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance of China Foundation) – a non-profit public charity with IRS 501(c)(3) status in the USA.

Since then he has been working in cooperation with the Chinese government and established a model adult palliative care ward in a major Beijing hospital, where he has been responsible for the support education, training & research; also Quality Measurement and Enforcement; Social Impact Ventures & Fund Raising.

We welcome Zetao as he leads us through this next phase of implementing our strategic plans and researching the children and families in need of palliative care in China.

Please join us in welcoming him to our team.

“I have known Zetao for a couple of years through connections in China and have been hugely grateful for his pro bono consultancy work for BCH in the last 6 months.

“I believe he is a man with a heart, a pioneering spirit, good business head and is a good leader with great connections in the world of official health and social welfare in China.” ~ Lyn Gould
