8 JanTransformation Tuesday
Through loving care, good nourishment, play and stimulation we witness our children’s transformations; akin to that of a caterpillar turning into a beautiful Butterfly. We see these transformations on a daily basis with the children in our home.
However, our favourite transformation stories are those which happen outside of the walls of our home. Those stories which come as a result of the love and joy associated with forever families.
Today, we want to share three of these precious stories;
Zoe (previously Esther) just spent her first Christmas home with her family. Her mama said “She is doing very well. Medically, her tumour has shrunk and we hope it continues to do so. She is also learning to assert her independence and loves being with her siblings.” We cannot believe the transformation she has gone through, and through it all she continues to live life with a big smile on her face.
Lily (who you may remember as Alice) has been in her forever home since May. Her mum shared this recent update with us “In that time her walking, speech and muscle control have improved greatly. She is a true waterbug. Her favorite things are swimming and bath time. Lily loves music, both nursery rhymes and oldies and family dance parties in the kitchen happen spontaneously! Lily’s forever family are extremely excited for what the new year brings with therapy and pre school!”
Joseph has been through numerous surgeries in his short life and we are happy to report that he is now thriving with his forever family. “Caleb Joseph has adjusted amazingly well to life in his new family and in America. His family is so in love with him and so grateful for the joy he brings to each day!”
Thirty-four Butterflies are now in the arms of their forever families and we are continuously amazed at their transformations.
We hope 2019 will see more children home forever and we cannot wait to share their transformation journeys.
